How it’s built
The plunger rides on a corkscrew thread.
That’s what turns one click into a fixed amount of travel. The V2 and V3 share the same mechanism, so switching models changes the look, not the numbers.

Questions people ask before buying
Does the pen come with a cartridge?
No. Pens ship empty. Kits include 10 or 20 sterile cartridges. The cartridge holder ships already inside the pen.
Which cartridges fit?
Any 3mL glass cartridge with an 11mm long stopper. That covers MODTECH V2 and V3, and V1-style pens. Short-stopper cartridges won’t seat.
Are needles or instructions in the box?
No. The pen takes standard screw-on pen needles, sold separately. The instructions live in the Help Center so they stay current.
The dial feels stiff. Is it broken?
Almost never. A new mechanism needs a few turns to bed in. That’s normal, not a fault. The Troubleshooting page covers the rest.
What if it isn’t right for me?
You have 7 days for a refund on a direct order, or 30 days with Buy with Prime. Damaged or wrong items are replaced and we cover the shipping.
