The cartridges and the station
The purge station has six slots, sized to MODTECH 3mL cartridges, with a purge post in the center. The fit is snug, so cartridges stand up and stay put.

A part-full cartridge has air above the liquid. The post in the center lets you push that air out before the cartridge goes in the pen.

Every cartridge is steam sterilized and sealed in its own CE/ISO 11607 pouch. That means you take one out and the other nine are exactly as sterile as they were in the warehouse — no partially-used tray sitting in a drawer, no guessing how long it's been open. An intact seal means sterile. Open it right before you fill it.
Cartridges get sold on "3mL" and "borosilicate," and both are true of ones that won't seat in your pen. The stopper length is the number that actually matters, and most labels don't print it — so you find out after it arrives. Ours have an 11mm gray stopper, every batch. It's the one spec you can check before you order anywhere, including here.

The slots are sized to MODTECH 3mL cartridges, and the fit is snug on purpose. Other brands' cartridges can be a different width, so they may not go in.
PLA, a rigid plastic, 3D-printed by us in Texas in black. You'll see fine print lines on the surface. That's how it's made.
Keep it away from heat: PLA softens in hot water, dishwashers and hot cars. Wipe it with a damp cloth.

Yes. The same 3mL cartridge fits the MODTECH V2 and V3 — drop-in, no adapters, no modifications — and V1-style pens that take a standard 3mL cartridge with an 11mm stopper.
3 mL, which is exactly five full turns of the dial. The dial stops at 60 clicks, and 60 clicks is 0.6 mL.
Both packs come with one purge station. The only difference is ten more cartridges.
